Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Bikeway Counters

Downtown Ann Arbor features the City’s first two-way protected facility, the William Street Bikeway, installed in 2019. Three others have since been added: on First Street, Division Street, and Miller-Catherine. Counters have been installed that count bikes in the bikeway and pedestrians on the adjacent sidewalk.

*Note: 2023 data doesn't reflect a full year of bike and ped activity. The first counters were installed in Aug & Sept 2023. Sept 2023 contains a full month of data for the Division and William counters. Data for the Miller/Catherine counter begins on 9/5/23 in the afternoon. A fourth counter, located on First St., was installed on 10/2/24.

Bike count data does not include scooters.
